Do you find yourself stuck in patterns that are not serving you? Are you struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or healing from past trauma? As someone navigating life’s changes, you may feel overwhelmed, but remember, you are not alone. Your journey toward healing and growth is not something you have to undertake by yourself.
My name is Tiina Kivinen, and I specialize in helping people like you, who are going through life changes and challenges, and/or are seeking a deeper understanding of themselves. My approach is holistic and rooted in self-awareness and inner resilience.
In our sessions, we’ll use a variety of methods to foster healing and growth. A phenomenological approach will focus on your immediate experience, exploring what comes up naturally during our time together. Existential techniques will help you examine life’s bigger questions, like the search for meaning and purpose. Additionally, psychodynamic theories will help us understand how your past experiences and unconscious thoughts affect your present behavior—and trauma-informed care will ensure that we address any past trauma respectfully and safely.
These different approaches work together in a holistic way to not just engage your mind, but also involve your body and subconscious in the healing process. I believe you have the capacity to heal, and I’m here to help you find the tools you need to do so.
I bring to our sessions 20 years of experience as an international guide of meditation and yoga, together with additional training in Master of Counselling Psychology, Expressive Arts, and Counselling Hypnotherapy. My passion is using person-centered, mindful therapy, complimented by my knowledge of nervous system regulation, to support your self-discovery and healing
You are the authority of your healing journey. I am here to hold space for you with compassion and respect. If you’re ready to begin this journey, reach out to me today for a consultation. Together, we will navigate the path toward your best self.

Many of the problems we experience in life can be traced back to parts of ourself that are wounded or not properly integrated. I help you to reflect and make sense of your experience, and to work through areas of your life that bring discomfort. In moving through these discomforts/stuck areas in a new way, you release these wounds, become free from their grasp & move into more aligned, embodied & authentic living. We cannot fully integrate (become whole in our life) unless we heal and integrate all parts (this includes shadow work, healing parental and childhood wounds, ego work, sacred sexuality, reprogramming belief systems, etc.).
I use a variety of therapeutic approaches that take into account the whole person (body, mind, spirit), as well as energy medicine, embodiment, visualization, meditation, sound, journaling and breathwork. I also help individuals through the preparation and integration phases with psychedelic medicines, spiritual growth / crisis / emergence, and healing the inner feminine/masculine dualities.
Our biggest moments of crisis, when worked with appropriately, are in fact our greatest sources of personal growth and transformation. I often challenge the medical model paradigm, & instead help clients recognize and tap into the innate healing potential / wisdom that each person possesses within.
Regarding my professional background, I am a Registered Psychotherapist with CRPO, working in private practice with adults desiring to do the deep work, heal their pasts, and live their most fulfilling, authentic and aligned lives. I’ve been in the mental health field for about close to 20 years, doing trauma-focused counselling/therapy for over a decade.
I currently reside on Vancouver Island in BC, however I provide services remotely worldwide.
I completed ATMA’s Psychedelic Assisted Therapist certificate program and TheraPsil’s Psilocybin-Assisted Therapy training, amongst other trainings over the years including but not limited to psychedelic integration and harm reduction, sandtray therapy, expressive arts therapy, emotionally-focused therapy, somatic experiencing, psychodynamic therapy, transpersonal psychology, cognitive-behavioural therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, mindfulness, reiki and energy medicine, embodiment, ecstatic dance, drum facilitation, sound therapy, attachment and yoga philosophy, Tantra and Daoist philosophy, breathwork, archetypal astrology. and nondual therapy. In addition, I am an eager learner of various holistic health practices including holistic nutrition, herbal medicine, and bodywork.
I provide individual psychotherapy as well as therapeutic embodiment groups and women’s groups and holistic transformational retreats. I support individuals who are working to heal from trauma (childhood trauma, sexual assault, narcissistic parents, emotionally unavailable parents, ancestral and generational trauma, etc.), and who are learning to align with their authentic self and life purpose. I help clients in balancing their inner feminine and inner masculine, build self-esteem, empowerment, healthy connection to body, mind and emotions, finding their voice, increasing intuition, doing shadow work and ego work, releasing maladaptive conditioning, patterns and beliefs and any of that ‘stuckness’ that is getting in the way of you shining your radiance in the world!
I also can support individuals with single session (or brief 1-3 sessions) integration support for those who are looking for a bit of extra support with integration after doing their own medicine journeys, but who may not be interested in more extensive therapy work, or who may already have a therapist and are connecting with me primarily for psychedelic education and integration. These stand-alone sessions can be valuable however, can sometimes be limited in that we are missing much of your personal history, and have not built up trust and safety in the relationship.
